Ireland) and two of them were in the quarter-finals. Suprisingly, however, Eng. was not among these two - they were N. I. and W. And Wales was knocked-out by future world champion Brasil, which won there in Sweden a few days later. Actually in the 1958 World Cup in Sweden there were 4 British teams (Eng, Scot, Wales and North. Ireland) and two of them were in the quarter-finals.
Suprisingly, however, Eng. was not among these two – they were N. I. and W.
And Wales was knocked-out by future world champion Brasil, which won there in Sweden a few days later.
