Hi Bettosilvestri, I was born in South Africa but my parents are portuguese. For me the best south african bands
besides these 2 are Johnny Clegg & Savuka ( Afropop ), Lucky Dube ( Reggae ), Prime Circle ( Rock ), Fokofpolisiekar ( HeavyMetal ), Skwatta Kamp ( Hiphop ), Danny K (R&B ), Revolution ( House music ), Mandoza ( Kwaito ). Then there are also other famous singers like Brenda Fassie, Lebo Mathosa, Miriam Makeba, Via Afrika with the song Hey Boy, one of my best ever South African song.

For rock music you have Seether, Straatligkinders, 16 stitch, Taipan, David Also, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Evoid, Foto Na Dans, Lindsay McGuire,R.O.Y., Springbok Nude Girls, The Dirty Skirts, Zebra & Girafe, EF-EL, Glaskas, Karen Zoid, Snotkop, Van Coke Kartel and many more you’ll find here in youtube. I also liked this group in the early 80’s HOT.R.S. In terms of pop you have Tasha Baxter, Louise Carver, NKD, Teargas, PJ Powers, 101, and many more in afrikaans. Just type afrikaans music here.
