Beckham is very much in danger of not going to the world cup, he’s playing in a poor league which means he doesn’t get an opportunity to prove his worth. Capello plays the best players….Aaron Lennon and Wright-Phillips have both shown more for England than Beckham has.

In regards to the Galaxy, he knows he made a mistake. He thought he was going to go over and make America care about football…he soon realised nobody cared about him and he misses the attention. Hence the move to Milan.

hey I still like the spice girls! Those songs had a message lol! Why is it so easy for him to swtich teams so much? Is he a free agent like Kobe?

  3. maxima480 Says:

everybody say he’s such a great talent on a poor league team, so if thats the case, why isn’t he the top scorer on his team. If kobe bryant went to a minor league team, even though he on a poor team he would still be the top score on that team. it doesn’t matter where you play, its the talent.

    who cares?

Yes, that was the purpose of his going to America, to “Make America care about football.” It wasn’t money orientated, it wasn’t that L.A. is the celebreity capital of the world where him and is parasite wife could make a ton of cash if they are marketed correctly.

My God, you are an idiot.

  6. RichySKing Says:

Beckham is a fucking embarrassing commercial celebrity, and you are a consumer.

  7. RichySKing Says:

You seem like a smart guy, thank you for recognizing that Beckham only went to LA Galaxy for the money, I think the deal was arranged by Simon Fuller, for something around 110 million dollars.
Anyway. There are 3 better right-sided midfielders than Beckham available for England.
Your qustion: Is he in danger of not playing in the world cup, F. Capello said he would only pick players who play for respectable clubs, but hypocritically picks Beckham while he in in LA.

  8. RichySKing Says:

I hope he doesn’t go to The World Cup, but I suspect he will, PURELY because he is a marketing tool! And will inevitably earn a lot of money from his inclusion.

He wants to go and play in Italy again because he has a greater fan base. (More people to buy his official merchandise.) Things didn’t go as planned fame and fortune wise in America.

England won’t win the World Cup if he goes.

PS Victoria is a fucking fame-hungry, parasite!

    soccer will always suck!

Beckham is a good guy and he was great in Manchester United just like Ruud Van Nistelrooy. However now he is just washed up because he went to Real Madrid. I think he should just leave MLS because honestly nobody watches it unless the team is from their own state. Beckham is getting old so he should just go to Milan and try and end his career on a good note maybe get some free kicks instead of Ronaldinho carrying the team.

how am I consumer? I was just telling it like it is. He’s marketable and popular and that’s why Sepp, Issa, Jack, etc. all want him playing in the world cup. I am not saying he deserves his spot but commercial interests are important to the sport.

  13. kevinpnp Says:

    so will the cowboys !

  14. gazmc06 Says:

Richy, you clearly didn’t read the post right.

Where did I say money wasn’t involved? Where did I say he wasn’t looking for attention? I don’t believe you saw any of that. Beckham went to America because he thought his popularity would make the American public care about football, which in turn would make them care about him..that was never going to happen.

Obviously money and fame played a part, but withouth him growing the sport none of that could happen. “my god, you’re an idiot” indeed.

    ehh soccer….

  16. MARKbratva Says:

He just wants to leave Galaxy… I mean why would he want to stay there???? He still is a high-class player and he should be playin in Europe… well he is not as good as he was in his prime but still!
He will go to south africa, maybe he will have to stay on the bench for a little bit

  17. JoEjOhSoN2fAn Says:

Beckham goes to AC Milan because his wife is into fashion and Milan is fashion capital of the world.

Anyway i reckon Beckham will get into the team cause the fans love him.

  18. ThaMeast Says:

Beckham is an overrated player. Always has been. Will he make the England World Cup team? I say yes, due to experience and because he is a big name. Will he actually play? Some, but probably will be on the bench for the most part.

Going back to AC Milan will definitely help his chances though.

    david beckham is a douche.

  20. Deaje Says:

What Most Americans fail to recognize about Soccer is that the world cup is the pinnacle or football tournaments. David Beckham can’t be seen as one of the worlds best unless he makes the England team and goes to S.A. so he’s right to do everything in a short sporting career to try and get there. At the moment Injuries have seen him make the squad but Walcott & Lennon are prefered player even if though they haven’t peeked yet.

  21. Deaje Says:

If the whole world played popular American sports as there 1st sport ie basketball, baseball etc.. More American’s would respect the what it means to be drafted to play for the national team in a major tournament. Most other nations on the planet play is sport seriously to the point that it’s hard to predict who the worlds number one nation is..

  22. persianballer1994 Says:

i think David Beckham is NOT in danger, he is a “icon” for the national team if you know what I mean. He is only trying to improve his game and take it back to the Galaxy in my opinion. I think he matured after the first incident and its beneficial for him. As a player of the sport myself, the higher level you play at, the better you become, even if you are David Beckham. It also allows rookies and newer players to have someone to look up to.

  23. natalieholt Says:

hey im from england and the coach of england said if beckham isnt playing for a top european team while the season has stopped in the usa he will not be picked for the world cup, because he only picks players who are playing well and regulary. he sed he will not pick david beckham just because hes an icon he picks players who are playin football.

  24. rdsnuke Says:

The chances of Beckham playing for England at the World Cup is 50-50. Depends how fit Theo Walcott, Aaron Lennon, Wright-Phillips are. If Capello picks Beckham it will be as a substitute. He’s not a starter anymore. And he really does need to go on loan to Italy or back to England to make his chances better. I think if his international career was already over he’d stay at LA Galaxy.

  25. davedroid Says:

Fabio capello, said it clearly.if beckham does not play in a higher league he WILL NOT be allowed to play for england.
